Marine Heritage Coast
Boasting some of Britain's most beautiful beaches
with Harbour Porpoises, Atlantic Grey Seals and the famous Bottle Nosed Dolphins offshore.
Visit The Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre to learn more about the marine environment, wildlife and bottlenose dolphins of Cardigan Bay
and is a haven for important marine wildlife.
Large numbers of grey seal pups are born around the coast in September & October,
particularly on the offshore islands of Skomer, Stokholm and Ramsey
which are also important seabird nesting sites for Puffins, Manx Shearwaters, Fulmars, Gannets & more.
but it is also possible to sight them as you explore the beautiful coastline.
Our local beach at Mwnt, just two and a half miles away, is one of their favourite haunts.
Nearby, Cardigan Island is home to a colony of Atlantic Grey Seals.
They can often be seen from the coastal cliff paths,
basking on the rocks below,
or popping their whiskery faces out of the water.
Just a few miles south of our holiday cottages is Pembrokeshire, with the magnificent Coastal Path and a string of beautiful beaches to explore
...and the rest of the world will have to wait...
