Sea Fishing
Take a boat trip for sea fishing
Poppit Sands, Gwbert, Mwnt, and Aberporth, are all just a few miles from Brongwyn Holiday Cottages, (no permit is required for sea fishing.)
Boats are available for sea fishing trips at New Quay.
River Fishing
Fishing on the River Teifi
The best time for sewin (sea trout) is from late May to early September and for salmon from August until October.
Brown trout can be taken throughout the season.
Coarse Fisheries
Llysyfran Country Park and Reservoir
The largest game fishery in West Wales is Llysyfran Reservoir, a 212 acre mixed rainbow and wild brown trout fishery with a fleet of 30 boats, extensive disabled angling facilities, and a visitor centre and restaurant. Tel: 01437 532273 or 532694.
Rhydlewis Trout Farm & Smokery
Well stocked 3-acre lake for fly fishing rainbow trout, Shop on site selling smoked products. Open all year. Rod hire available. Rod licence needed (available from local post office) Tel: 01239 851224
Llanarth Coarse Fishery near New Quay
